I should have posted this yesterday or the day before, but I couldn't because I was outside enjoying the beautiful SUNSHINE!!!!!
I put on some flip-flops, rolled up my pants (one day, and the other day I actually wore shorts!!!) and spent two glorious afternoons sitting outside.
Thursday afternoon I went home and played with my nieces. We played with bubbles, chased each other and played Ring Around the Rosie too many times. haha. But they loved being outside and it was a great afternoon. Friday I got some homework, a blanket and went and sat on the (very slanted) lawn outside my apartment. Then a wonderful girl from my ward walked by, saw me, and came and joined me on the grass to paint her nails. We had a great talk and just basked in the amazing glow that was that beautiful sun setting in the West.
Really, one of my greatest loves in this world is the first real warm day after winter. When it's warm enough outside that you don't need a jacket and you can feel spring and summer at the tips of your fingers, getting ever so close! I love feeling the sun on my skin and not hiding underneath big burly coats and sweaters. Sunshine...it's just happy. And it makes everyone be happier than they would be otherwise. :)
